Goal
The aim of the course is to deepen students' knowledge in the field of insurance law, specifically regarding the establishment and operation of insurance and reinsurance companies, as well as the formation and essential elements of insurance contracts. Additionally, within the course, students will be introduced to the foundations of insurance law in the European Union, including the establishment and operation of insurance companies in the EU, as well as the basic guidelines for fundamental and common types of insurance within the internal market.

Competences
1. The ability to independently and critically analyze literature, legislation, and practices in the field of insurance law. 2. Understanding the insurance system in the European Union. 3. The ability to independently draft insurance contracts in practice. 4. Understanding the process of harmonizing domestic and EU law in the context of insurance companies and basic forms of insurance. 5. The ability to conduct independent research and practical work in the field of insurance law.
