On Wednesday, April 29, 2026, Senior Teaching Assistant at the Department of Criminal Law, LL.M. Lejla Zilić-Čurić, delivered a lecture at the Legal Clinic “Advocacy Skills in Criminal Proceedings” on the topic “Public Speaking Skills.”

As part of the lecture, students had the opportunity to acquire and enhance their public speaking and presentation skills through both a theoretical segment and two interactive, practice-oriented workshops. Particular emphasis was placed on developing confidence in expression, clarity of argumentation, and the ability to adapt one’s presentation style to different professional contexts. The development of these skills is of exceptional importance for future legal professionals, as effective and persuasive public speaking represents one of the key elements of successful advocacy and professional communication.
