The ceremony was officially opened and moderated by the project coordinator, Senior Teaching Assistant Lejla Zilić-Čurić, LL.M. In his opening remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Enis Omerović, highlighted the importance of the project as a shared mission of academia and the judicial community aimed at strengthening practical legal education and preparing future legal professionals for the challenges of judicial practice.
The round table discussion brought together distinguished lecturers and legal practitioners, including Judge and Acting President of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina Minka Kreho, Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina Ahmed Mešić, criminal defence attorney Lejla Čović, as well as students participating in the Legal Clinic programme. The discussion focused on exchanging experiences, evaluating the implementation of the programme, and exploring opportunities for its further development and institutional advancement.
As part of the practical segment of the event, students participating in the Legal Clinic, together with the lecturers, conducted a simulation of a main hearing before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Through this simulation, students demonstrated the practical knowledge and professional skills acquired during the clinic modules — from case preparation and legal argumentation to the presentation of evidence and courtroom advocacy.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Enis Omerović, presented acknowledgements to the teaching team and certificates to the students who successfully completed the Legal Clinic programme.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the entire teaching team for their continuous contribution to the practical training and professional development of our students. We would also like to express our special appreciation to the Federal Ministry of Education and Science for its valuable financial support and recognition of the importance of practical legal education.
