Competition Description and Achievements:

The Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot is one of the most prestigious global competitions organized by the Austrian nonprofit association for the organization and promotion of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. The purpose of Vis Moot is to encourage the study of international commercial law and arbitration and to provide practical training to students for resolving international commercial disputes. The strong preference of the business community for resolving international commercial disputes through arbitration is why this dispute resolution method was chosen as a clinical tool for training law students.

The Faculty of Law at the University of Zenica has been participating in this prestigious competition for many years. In 2019, our team, under the mentorship of Dr. Zlatan Meškić, achieved an impressive third place, and our student Amina Hasanica received the award for the best speaker at the competition.

This year’s student team consisted of fourth-year students Lejla Komarac and Amila Pivić, who continued the tradition and qualified for the top 64 teams in the competition.
