Invitation to a workshop for the successful conclusion of the joint research project “Promoting Mechanism for Alternative Dispute Resolution and Mediation in North Macedonia – INVESTinADR” held in Saarbrücken in collaboration with our long-standing partner, the Iustinianus Primus Faculty of Law at the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. All interested parties are welcome to attend!
Funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) with approximately €450,000, the project was led by Prof. Dr. Marc Bungenberg, co-director of the Europa-Institut, and Prof. Dr. Goran Koevski, Iustinianus Primus Faculty of Law at the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. The project focused on a comprehensive analysis of the legal framework and practical application of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanisms, particularly international arbitration and mediation, in North Macedonia.
The project's objective was to evaluate the current legal landscape, identify potential areas for reform, and translate these insights into targeted training measures. The workshop will bring together experts, academics, and practitioners to discuss the outcomes of the project and explore future pathways for strengthening ADR structures in the region.
The concluding workshop for the project takes place on 4 July 2025 at the Europa-Institut at Saarland University, the program can be found in the attachment.
