PRODUŽENA PRIJAVA NASTAVNIKA I STUDENATA ZA RADIONICE NA PRAVNOM FAKULTETU U BEOGRADU U OKVIRU PROJEKTA ACCESS2JUSTICE

The project  deals with the access to legal information and advice by strengthening the clinical legal education at law faculties in the Western Balkans and Germany.

In this phase of the project we are announcing 2 open calls for applications:

 

1. Intensive Regional Training of Multipliers for Legal Clinics: Workshop for Students 
17–19 September 2018 
Venue: Belgrade (University of Belgrade Faculty of Law)

Here, the students will be trained with skills such as effective case management systems, clinic procedures (acquisition of cases, administration of cases, internal procedures prior to communication with the client, etc.), client interviews, brief writing, legal limits to the provision of legal advice, legal ethics and questions of liability, soft skills (e.g. communication skills), office and project management and fundraising. The participating students will be explicitly given the opportunity to share experiences in running university-based law clinics as well as to network among each other.

 

2. Intensive Regional Training of Multipliers for Legal Clinics: Workshop for Teaching Staff
20–21 September 2018
Venue: Belgrade (University of Belgrade Faculty of Law)

On this training the professors will be trained on various issues concerning clinical legal education such as: organisational matters – which model of CLE suits their purpose the best, what they can expect from the faculty and from students, how to choose the right legal area, how to prepare an agenda, whom to invite, how to secure internal and external, how they can benefit from and collaborate with different partners, the role of public, practical matters – what is the legal aid and how it is defined in the law, who should be beneficiaries of the legal clinic, who can also provide legal, experiences from provision of legal aid to real clients, minimal standards of work, privacy protection etc., legal ethics, techniques of interviewing clients and how to approach vulnerable clients. Moreover, the interested professors get in touch to each other and that can foster future collaboration.
